Pune: Shocking Kidnapping Incident Unfolds in Wakad, Video Goes Viral

Pimpri Chinchwad, 21st June 2024: A video has surfaced showing a woman being forcefully dragged into a car, and it is going viral. The video clearly shows the woman being kidnapped.

The man in the video dragging the woman is her husband, and the incident stems from a familial dispute. Reports indicate that the dispute was related to physical relations. After the abduction, she was detained in the car and given sedative drugs.

According to police, the victim and her husband got married 1.5 years ago. Just 7-8 days later, they started having arguments. Fed up with the situation, the victim went to live with her uncle in Pune. The woman does not have parents, and her relatives mediated, resulting in her returning to live with her husband. However, the arguments continued, and she left him again.

After leaving, she spent several months in Mumbai and Delhi. Meanwhile, her husband tried to contact her. She eventually settled in Wakad with a job and was living in a Paying Guest Accommodation (PG). Her husband and his family found out where she was living and came to Wakad. They tried to convince her to come back home, but she refused. In a fit of rage, they forcefully tried to abduct her. A friend from her office also accompanied them. After the abduction, she pretended to agree with them, only to seize the right moment to escape. With the help of local youth, she contacted the police.

An official from Wakad Police Station told Punekar News, “The girl and her family are from Manchar. She used to live in a PG here. The kidnapping happened due to a familial dispute. We are registering a case against her husband and in-laws.”
