Pune: ‘Sindhi Premier League-Season 4’ donates dialysis machine to ANP Care Foundation
Pune, 9th February 2024: Sindhi Premier League, a nonprofit making cricket tournament inaugurated recently at Mrunal Cricket ground, Pimpri. This league is kept with a motive of uniting the Sindhi community and also aiming at the importance of fitness. Tanuj Virwani, an Indian actor, fame as Vayu Raghavan from Inside Edge web series was the the chief guest for the opening ceremony.
This year, Sindhi Premier League donated a dialysis machine to ANP Care Foundation. Manohar Pherwani, Jawahar Kotwani, Gurumukh Sukhwani, Rishi Adwani, Ganesh Kudale & many others were present on the occasion. From the organizing committee Kamal Jethani, Ankush Mulchandani, Naresh Nasha, Karan Aswani, Avinash Tejwani , Piyush Jethani, Kunal Gudela, Avinash Israni were also present..
This cricket tournament will be played till February 22. All the matches & Scores will be live on Facebook and a scoring app for all the people who are unable to make it to the ground. At this time, everyone’s attention was drawn as the players and their children came to the field. The family enjoyed watching cricket matches. This league is important for inculcating sportsmanship among the youth of the Sindhi community. Tanuj Virwani said on this occasion that we should enjoy this game with team spirit and honesty.
Hitesh Dadlani said, “A group of youngsters in Pimpri Chinchwad has come together before four years to organize and envision this league as a place to come out in person and get a feel of meeting people, playing together and celebrating oneness. An initiative that started with few associations has become a most awaited event for Sindhi’s sports enthusiasts. This year we have received a huge response from across the state. The tournament has been designed in line with the IPL format. There are 16 teams, with 16 team owners. These owners have been given teams with names that are connected to our roots in some or the other way. The league theme song is – ‘Jiyo Sindhi’ and the tag line is ‘PLAY CELEBRATE REPEAT’.
First match of the tournament played between Pimpri Yoddha’s & Sindhful Rangers. Pimpri Yoddha’s won the match by 13 runs. Mohenjo-Daro Warriors won against Aryan’s United with 22 runs in the second match on inauguration day. In this tournament matches will be played for 20 days with closing day being on the 22th of February 2023 i.e. the mega finals.
