Pune, 25th March 2025: The flyover on Narveer Tanaji Malusare Road (Sinhagad Road), connecting Rajaram Bridge to Dhayari, is in its final stages of construction. Initially scheduled to open on April 1, the project has now been delayed by a month.

Traffic congestion on Sinhagad Road has long been a major issue, causing inconvenience to thousands of commuters. To address this, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) began constructing the flyover in September 2021. The Special Projects Department had originally set a December 2025 deadline, but the work has progressed efficiently, with 90% of the construction now complete.

According to Yuvraj Deshmukh, head of the Special Projects Department, the project is now in its final phase. “Tasks such as painting, installation of streetlights, and placement of direction boards are currently in progress. This will take about a month to complete,” he stated.

Once completed, the flyover is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion on Sinhagad Road, providing relief to daily commuters.
