Pune: Sister-Brother Die In Accident Due To Tyre Burst
Daund, 22nd December 2022: On the Pune-Solapur National Highway at Malad, Daund, the tyre of a Swift car travelling at high speed from Pune burst, causing the car to hit a container coming from the opposite lane from the divider, killing both the sister and brother inside the car. The accident happened around 8.30 am on Thursday.
They were travelling from Pune to Bhalki village, Bidar, on the Pune-Solapur highway when the tyre suddenly burst in the Malad limits. As a result, the car crossed the divider and collided with a container on the opposite side of Solapur Lane. In the accident, the front and left side of the car was crushed by the impact of the container.
In the accident, Shilpa Tulshi Giri (30) was seriously injured and died on the spot. Her brother Sadhav Gaurav Giri (24), a resident of Bhalki, district Bidar, who was driving the car, died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Under the guidance of Police Inspector Bhausaheb Patil, Sub-Inspector SB Raut is conducting further investigation.
