Pune: Six burglaries in one night at Dhankwadi
Katraj, 10th March 2021: Burglars struck at six flats in one night at Chaitanya Nagar in Dhankwadi. Housebreakers stole a booty of Rs 21,000 from one flat. The societies where the burglars struck had security guards.
Meanwhile, the society members have lodged a complaint with the Sahakarnagar police station. One of the complainant Tanaji Jagdale who lives in Gurudatta Housing Society told that the burglars entered through the safety door and unlocked the inside doors. They looted clothes and silver utensils worth Rs 21,000.
Police said that the burglars struck at the apartments of Abhijeet Mudvikar, Ramesh Kunte, Deepak Gohad, and Yogesh Badi at Anatnagar Cooperative Housing society. The exact amount of the theft will be known after the owners lodge a complaint with the police. Burglars also attempted robbery at Shrikant Vaidya’s apartment.
“All these apartments have security guards, yet, the theft took place,” said senior police inspector Govind Gambhire.
