Pune: Somatne Toll Naka Hatav Action Committee Vows To Continue Hunger Strike Until Toll Booths Are Removed

Talegaon, 11th March 2023: The Somatne Toll Naka Hatav Kriti Samiti has started an indefinite hunger strike today to remove the Somatne toll booths on the old Pune-Mumbai highway. There is a Shinde-Fadnavis government in the state and ruling Shiv Sena MP Srirang Barne has also supported this action committee.

The IRB officials had come to meet the members of the committee who were on an indefinite hunger strike. This information was given by Kishore Aware of the committee. He has also warned that this indefinite hunger strike will continue until the toll booths are removed.

The issue of the Somatne toll plaza on the old Pune-Mumbai highway may increase the headache of the state government. Barne, the MP who is still in power, has taken the stand that this unjust toll booth should be removed by showing his support to Mavalkar.

For the past few months, Somatne Toll Naka Hatav Kriti Samiti has been demanding the removal of toll booths.
