Pune: Soon Police Beat Marshals To Help People Without Bothering About Jurisdiction Dispute

Pune, 5th February 2023: For the safety of the citizens of Pune, the Pune Police has now emphasized extra patrolling by centralizing the vehicles of beat marshals. In particular, five two-wheelers and one SUV will be provided at each police station to reach the callers in time. Apart from that, a separate wireless facility will be created for the coordination of the nearby police stations. Therefore, the police in the nearby area will reach the spot and help the people calling the control (112).
As per the order of Commissioner of Police Retesh Kumaarr, the innovative system will be implemented soon.
After the citizens call the police control room, the beat marshals working under the concerned station are sent. Apart from that, emphasis is also placed on patrolling in sensitive areas, secluded places and public garden areas. However, sometimes the people do not get help in time due to jurisdiction disputes even after reaching the spot.
Against this backdrop, it has been decided to centralize the vehicles of beat marshals under each police station. Apart from that, a separate wireless system has been created through which the beat marshal near the spot will rush to help the complainant in time. For this, it has been decided to give five two-wheelers and one four-wheeler to each police station.
Patrolling by Damini squads along with beat marshals is carried out from time to time in the vicinity of school campuses, bus stands, public places and other public places. There is an emphasis on reducing the response time of assistance by introducing further streamlining. Additional police patrolling in modern vehicles will also help in reducing arguments, fights and bullying in the local area. Also, keeping in mind the safety of the school students, Damini teams along with beat marshals should reach the spot immediately and speed up the action.
It has been ordered to take action against women molestation, chasing of girls, and taking advantage of the crowd. Due to this, security has been strengthened in public gardens, roads, and bus stand areas. Meanwhile, marshals should act on the phone calls from the police control room. Additional patrolling should also be done at important places, Damini teams have been instructed to go and inspect crowded places, school premises, and garden areas from time to time.
