Pune: Build Sound Barrier Walls On Wakad-Narhe Road – MP Supriya Sule

Pune, 5th February 2023: NCP MP Supriya Sule has raised the issue of noise pollution due to traffic congestion between Wakad and Narhe on the Pune-Bangalore National Highway.

MP Supriya Sule has demanded that sound control walls should be erected along this route or that other preventive measures should be taken to prevent noise pollution caused by vehicles.

She has brought forward the issue of traffic congestion and noise pollution caused to the residents by tweeting. Residents of Chandni Chowk, Bavdhan and adjoining areas on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway are suffering due to high noise pollution caused by traffic.

Sule said that to solve this problem, housing associations and various organizations have requested that a noise control wall should be erected on the highway in Pune from Wakad to Narhe.

The issue of traffic congestion in Chandni Chowk was brought up a few months ago. Various measures have been taken by the National State Highway Authority to solve the traffic congestion. The bridge at Chandni Chowk, which was causing traffic jams was also demolished. In this, the issue of noise pollution due to traffic jams has come to the fore.
