Pune: Special Bus Services for Palkhi Procession of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj
Pune, 14th June 2025 : The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has made elaborate arrangements to facilitate travel for the thousands of devotees expected to attend the Palkhi Processions of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj at Alandi and Dehu.
Additional Bus Services (June 16–20, 2025):
For Alandi : A total of 146 buses daily will operate from key locations including Swargate, PMC, Hadapsar, Pune Station, Nigdi, Bhosari, Hinjawadi, Chinchwad, and Pimpri Road.
On June 19, bus services will continue until midnight.
On June 20 (Palkhi departure day) 16 additional buses will start operating from 3:00 AM from Swargate, Pune Station, PMC, and Hadapsar to Alandi.
For Dehu:
37 buses from Pune Station, PMC, and Nigdi will operate to Dehu during this period.
Additionally, 23 buses will run between Dehu and Alandi for better connectivity.
Regular Services:
Starting from 5:30 AM, 113 regular buses from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will operate via Bhosari and Vishrantwadi to Alandi.
On-demand buses will be arranged where the passenger count exceeds 40 at any location.
Special Arrangements for June 22, 2025 – Hadapsar Halt:
Since both Palkhis are scheduled to halt at Hadapsar between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, the following additional services will be available from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station:
To Pune Station, Warje Malwadi, Kothrud Depot, Nigdi, Chinchwad, and Alandi.
Additional services from Shivarkar Garden to Katraj-Kondhwa and from Magarpatta to Mundhwa, Chandan Nagar, and Wagholi.
Route Plan for Palkhi Departure:
The Palkhi will proceed via Solapur and Saswad Roads.
As the Solapur/Uruli Kanchan route opens up to traffic, bus services will continue accordingly.
The Dive Ghat stretch will remain closed, and as an alternative, 60 additional buses will run via Bopdev Ghat connecting Swargate, Pune Station, and Hadapsar.
PMPML urges all devotees and citizens to note the schedule and avail of the enhanced bus services. Public cooperation is requested to ensure a smooth transportation experience during the Palkhi period.
