Pune: Speeding Dumper Truck Kills Mother And Her Daughter In Road Accident
Bibvewadi, 16th February 2023: A speeding dumper truck ran over a woman and her six-year-old daughter on Wednesday evening, killing them both. The accident happened in Bibvewadi while the mother was dropping off her daughter for badminton class.
The deceased have been identified as Rupali Kalpesh Bora (30) and Garima Kalpesh Bora (6). The driver of the dumper truck, Rahul Jadhav (30), has been arrested.
The accident occurred on Satara Road when the dumper truck, heading towards Bibvewadi from Gangadham Chowk, hit the two-wheeler carrying the mother and daughter. The impact knocked them off the bike and they fell onto the road. Tragically, the rear wheel of the dumper truck then ran over them, causing instant death.
The incident has caused outrage in the local community, with calls for greater road safety measures and stricter penalties for those who violate traffic rules. The police have initiated an investigation into the accident, and the driver of the dumper truck will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
