Pune, 6th January 2025: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has issued a warning to colleges and recognised educational institutions that fail to update information about their National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) evaluation on the SPPU website. Institutions that do not comply by 15th January may face restrictions on first-year admissions for all professional and non-professional courses in the academic year 2025-26.

The Vice-Chancellor of SPPU’s Academic Section has issued a circular regarding this matter. As SPPU’s own NAAC evaluation process is approaching, the university has instructed affiliated colleges and higher education institutions to update their NAAC evaluation information.

The circular states, “Following government instructions and orders received, we hereby inform all colleges and recognised institutions affiliated with the university that those which have not completed the NAAC evaluation, re-evaluation, and ratings process, or have not submitted the initial stage institution registration to the NAAC office, must update their current status by 15th January.” This includes information on what stage of the process they are currently in.

This directive aims to ensure that all affiliated institutions maintain up-to-date NAAC evaluation information, which is crucial for maintaining academic standards and transparency.
