Pune, 19th April 2023: While the state government has decided to give Rs 2,000 to the farmers on the lines of the central government, now another scheme has been brought by the Shinde-Fadnavis government. A decision has been taken regarding Feeder Solar in today’s cabinet meeting. According to this, the farmer will be paid Rs 50,000 per acre per year. This information has been given by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Farmers with wasteland will continue to get this benefit for years. Fadnavis said that if a farmer gives his land to the state government on a 30-year contract to install solar panels, then the state government will pay that farmer a rent of Rs 50,000 per acre per year.

Reportedly, these rents will increase by three per cent every year. Big investors are ready to invest money in solar. Due to this, this electricity will cost the state government Rs 3.30 per unit. The scheme will also help to prevent the environmental damage caused by coal. Fadnavis has claimed that Maharashtra is the first state to take such a decision.

A decision has been taken in the Cabinet meeting held today to implement the second phase of the Chief Minister’s Solar Agriculture Channel scheme to supply uninterrupted and reliable electricity to agricultural pumps during the day and also to supply solar energy to 30 per cent of the channels by the year 2025.
