Pune: 95 Per Cent Of Corona Patients In State Recovering From Home
Pune, 19th April 2023: Although the number of Corona patients is increasing in the state, 95 per cent of patients i.e., 5,795 are receiving treatment at home. Whereas, 4.8 per cent i.e., 292 are admitted to the hospital, of which only 0.7 per cent i.e, 46 are admitted to the ICU. Although the number of corona patients is increasing, there is a relief as the number of people falling seriously ill due to the same is less.
The plague of Corona, which once wreaked havoc not only in the country but across the world, has now been reduced. Currently, Omicron’s XBB 1.16 variant is disseminating. Although infections have increased due to their high infectivity, the number of severe cases is relatively low. In that, 15,313 tests of Corona have been conducted on Tuesday (April 18). Among them, 949 new patients were detected and six people died.
At present, 6,118 patients of Corona are active in the state. Among them, a maximum number of patients are in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Nagpur. In the remaining districts, the number is 100 or less.

681 patients of the XBB 1.16 variant of Corona have been found in the state. Four of them have died. Pune has the highest number of patients out of 681 in the state.
