Pune: Street Drama Illuminates Pimpri Court During Lok Adalat Session
Pimpri, 10th September 2023: The National Lok Adalat session was collaboratively organized by the Pimpri Court, Pune District Legal Authority, and Pimpri Chinchwad Advocate Bar Association. As part of the event, students from Balaji Law College presented a streetplay performance centered around the themes of ‘The Key to Dispute Resolution’ and ‘What is Mediation.’ The session commenced with the inauguration of Lok Adalat.
Rajesh Punekar, former President of the Pimpri Chinchwad Advocate Bar Association, presided over the program, overseeing its coordination and planning. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Advocate Bar Association extended felicitations to the esteemed judges of the Pimpri Chinchwad Court, RS Wankhede and RM Giri.
Through street plays, social and legal awareness were instilled among college students, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Balaji Law College Principal Dr. Madhushree Joshi, Tejashwi Awad, Akanksha, Chanakya Vadde, Nikhil Giri, and Adv. Mangesh Kharabe.
Adv. Jayashree Kute, Vice President of the Pimpri Chinchwad Advocate Bar Association, stated, “In accordance with the regulations outlined in Section 89 of the Code of Civil Procedure, mediation centers have been established by the High Court, not only in Mumbai but also in all district courts, with the objective of reducing the backlog of pending cases and enhancing access to justice.”
Adv. Mangesh Kharabe emphasized, “There is a significant gap in legal awareness within society, and the contributions made by the National, State, and District Legal Services Authority, in collaboration with Law Colleges, play a pivotal role in disseminating legal knowledge.”
