Pune: Successful Raid On Spa In Viman Nagar Leads To Rescue Of Six Women
Viman Nagar, 4th May 2023: The social security cell officials of Pune City police conducted a successful raid on the Amyraah Spa in Viman Nagar on May 2. Acting on confidential information about prostitution being carried out under the guise of a massage centre, officials confirmed the illegal activities by sending in a decoy customer. Following the confirmation, a raid was immediately conducted, leading to the rescue of six women.
During the raid, officials seized Rs 1,28,500 in cash, mobile phones, and other evidence from the spa. The spa manager was detained, and four accused including the spa owner have been booked. An FIR has been registered against them at Vimantal police station. The women and the accused were handed over to the police station for further action.
The action was carried out under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ramnath Pokle and DCP (Crime) Amol Zende. The team included Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, API Ashwini Patil, and police personnel Baba Karpe, Ajay Rane, Imran Nadaf, Irfan Pathan, Reshma Kank, and Omkar Kumbar.
