Pune: Sunil Tingre Unveils Visionary Manifesto for Vadgaonsheri Constituency

Pune, 18th November 2024: Sunil Tingre, the Mahayuti (NCP-BJP-Shiv Sena alliance) candidate from Vadgaonsheri, has unveiled an ambitious manifesto promising holistic development of the constituency. Tingre, the sitting MLA, has outlined a vision to address key issues such as traffic congestion, water scarcity, and youth and women’s empowerment.

As the election campaign concluded with grassroots-level efforts by party workers, Tingre emphasized his commitment to turning Vadgaon Sheri into a model constituency. His manifesto includes a detailed roadmap addressing pressing concerns and introducing innovative projects.

The manifesto includes plans to establish Shiv Shrishti Park to honor the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, decongest city roads by eliminating the BRT route, and achieve signal-free roads through the construction of grade separators and flyovers. It also proposes extending the metro network and developing an Oxygen Park-like green space in Kharadi IT Park.

Key focus areas include providing a permanent solution to the tanker water supply problem in areas like Kharadi and Lohgaon, addressing flood-related issues, setting up medical aid centers, and creating sports grounds. Additionally, the plan involves constructing a statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Vishrantwadi Chowk, a cultural center for ex-servicemen, Konkan Bhawan, and a Mini India Park in Dhanori showcasing India’s diversity.

The manifesto also emphasizes slum rehabilitation for rightful housing, establishing digital schools, libraries, gyms for youth, theaters, forest parks, adventure parks, toilets, and hawkers’ plazas.

While presenting his manifesto, Tingre acknowledged that two years of his previous tenure were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, he claimed to have secured ₹1,510 crores in funds for the constituency within two and a half years through the Mahayuti government. Among completed projects, Tingre highlighted a 100-bed Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Lohgaon, soon to be operational. He also mentioned ongoing projects like the Lohgaon water supply scheme, grade separators at Nagar Road and Vishrantwadi, and flyover construction.

“These initiatives are well underway, and many more will be launched soon. Over the next five years, I will ensure all necessary projects are completed to improve the quality of life for residents of Vadgaonsheri constituency. This is my resolution to change the face of the constituency,” Tingre stated confidently.
