Pune, 15th November 2022: The problems in the villages included in the municipal corporation, including lack of funds, water problems, and road problems, are still persistent. In this, MP Supriya Sule met Pune Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Vikram Kumar to speed up the work in the villages of Khadakwasla Assembly Constituency and resolve the issues.

There is a living spring of water at Bavdhan. Also, the water of the Ram river should be clean. If the municipality uses both these water sources, millions of litres of water can be made available. The problems of Warje, garbage in Dhankawadi, sewage disposal, and traffic congestion were also presented before the Commissioner. A way out was demanded.

Although the Chandni Chowk bridge has been demolished, the dilemma continues, and the citizens of the Bavdhan area are suffering. Schools and auditoriums built by the municipality have not received funds, so the projects are incomplete.

Talking to reporters, Supriya Sule said, “All the villages involved are not getting funds. For the water scheme in Fursungi, funds of Rs. 24 crores have not been received. When the Chief Minister came and went, he said he would go to Mumbai and sign it, but the file has not arrived yet. Fursungi traffic jam continues. I contacted the centre regarding this. Gadkari’s ears are worn. The road will be cleared if permission is obtained from the forest department. Also, the adjustment of teachers and other employees in the included villages has been stopped. Citizens of this village are ready to pay income tax but they should get services. They are not opposed to taxation, but tax should be implemented gradually.”

“BJP leader Pralhad Singh Patel had come to Baramati. I will ask them what they are afraid of when they meet in Parliament. He talks to me nicely in Parliament,” she further stated. Sule said Nirmala Sitharaman will be coming to Baramati six times, so she is always welcome.

Efforts are on to make Bhide Wada, the first school for girls, a national monument. Although the issue of the revival of this castle and memorial is in the High Court, we can find a way together. Sule demanded in the meeting that a memorial and a school should be built wherever there is extra money. Samrat Ashok Sena President Vinod Chavan, Sachin Dodke, Vishal Tambe, Saili Wanjale, and others were present on this occasion.
