Pune: Supriya Sule Owes Rs 55 Lakh to Rival Sunetra Pawar and Nephew Parth Pawar
Pune, 19th April 2024: Supriya Sule, daughter of Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sharad Pawar, is a wealthy individual with family assets totalling Rs 166.5 crore, an increase from Rs 127.8 crore in 2019. Despite her significant wealth, Sule owes Rs 35 lakh to her sister-in-law Sunetra Pawar and Rs 20 lakh to Sunetra’s son, Parth Pawar. The debts have persisted since at least 2019.
In addition to these debts, Sule’s mother, Pratibha Pawar (Sharad Pawar’s wife), owes Sunetra Rs 50 lakh. Both Sule and Sunetra have declared wealth exceeding Rs 100 crore.
Sunetra Pawar’s family assets have also increased significantly, rising from Rs 75.4 crore in 2019 to Rs 127.5 crore. This includes loans owed to her by several individuals, including Sule and her mother, Pratibha, as well as Sunetra’s husband, Ajit Pawar (Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister), and her mother-in-law, Ashatai.
Sule’s financial situation shows a doubling of her movable assets from Rs 21.2 crore in 2019 to Rs 38 crore in 2024. However, her immovable assets decreased by half, from Rs 18.4 crore to Rs 9.1 crore over the same period. In contrast, Sunetra’s immovable assets surged from Rs 26.8 crore to Rs 58.3 crore, while her movable assets decreased from Rs 20.3 crore to Rs 12.5 crore.
Sule’s spouse experienced a rise in movable assets, going from Rs 83 crore in 2019 to Rs 114.7 crore in 2024. Both candidates trace their incomes to farming and business, and while Sunetra owns vehicles such as a tractor and two trailers, Sule and her spouse have opted out of owning vehicles.
