Pune: Suspended Town Planning Joint Director Nazirkar Arrested In Graft Case

Pune; March 24, 2021: Police arrested the joint director of the town planning department for forging the documents to buy and sell the lands in Pune city and district. The commissioner was arrested in a case registered at Baramati police station.

The suspect Hanumant Jagannath Nazirkar (55, Swapnashilp Society) was absconding since a case was registered against him. According to police, rural police had received orders to arrest Nazirkar from higher officials. A case against him was registered at Baramati city police station.

Cases were registered against him at Pune city, Pune rural and Navi Mumbai. Police arrested him from Nakinda, Mahabaleshwar. A special squad was formed to arrest him under superintendent Anil Deshmukh.

Police found out that he was spotted in Pune and Satara. Finally, he was found in Mahabaleshwar.
