Pune : Symbiosis College Professor Booked For Controversial Remarks On Hindu Gods
Pune 3rd August 2023: A professor working with Symbiosis College in the city has been booked for his controversial remarks in his classroom against Hindu deities. The case was registered after his video went viral on social media and the hindutva outfit Samasta Hindu Bandhav lodged a complaint with police in the matter.
The Pune City Police have booked professor Ashok Sopan Dhole (43) under sections 295 (a) following a complaint lodged by Ravindra Dilip Padwal, president of Samast Hindu Bandhav organisation. The case was registered at Deccan Police Station.
Earlier the college administration suspended the principal after his video with controversial remark went viral on social media platforms. It may be noted that the students studying at the Symbiosis College located at SB Road have alleged that professor Dhole used derogatory remarks against Hindu deities which hurt the religious sentiments. An application in this regard was submitted to the local police and college administration by the student organisation.
Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also held a protect against the professor while demanding his suspension and a strict action against him.
