Pune: Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust’s Initiative For De-Addiction Gets Huge Response, Award Ceremony of Sanyam Short Film Festival on Wednesday

Pune, 15th March 2022: The award distribution ceremony of Sanyam Short Film Festival organized by Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust has been organized at National Film Museum on Wednesday, 16th March 2022 at 4.00 PM. The festival was organized by Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust with the main objective of creating awareness on de-addiction through short films, said Darshan Mundada, coordinator of Sanyam Short Film Festival, at a press conference here today.

Shraddha Rathi, trustee of Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust as also jury of this competition Dr.Amit Tyagi, lyricist and music director Salil Kulkarni, famous singer Nandesh Ump, senior psychology researcher Dr. Anagha Lavalekar and office bearers of Sanyam Short Film Festival Coordinating Committee were present.

Giving more information about Sanyam Short Film Festival, Darshan Mundada said that although this was the first year of Sanyam Short Film Festival, it received a huge response from all over India and 94 film entries were received in response to our call. Eight of them were selected as winning films in various categories. The winning teams will be given cash prizes and mementos at the hands of dignitaries. Special awards will also be given to the best female producers in the age group of 20 years along with a total of six major awards in the first and second categories. Each participating team will be awarded a digital certificate while the winners will be awarded a physical certificate and a badge of honor.

The main theme of the festival was a variety of short films covering addiction to smoking, drugs, alcohol, mobile and social media. People from different walks of life from the age of 11 to the age of 69 in the society have spontaneously participated in the discussion by effective presentation of the topics. Competition entries were received from all over Maharashtra including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nashik, Amravati as well as various states of the country including Tamil Nadu and Assam.

Dr. Amit Tyagi, famous singer Nandesh Ump, lyricist and music director Dr. Salil Kulkarni, Sandeep Khare, cinema and theater artist Subodh Bhave, senior psychologist Dr. Anagha Lavalekar and director of the Muktangan De-addiction Center Dr. Mukta Punatambekar were the judges of the competition. The best short films of the competition will be shown in different parts of the city and awareness will be created for de-addiction. MIT-ADT, Round Table India, City Pride Multiplex, National Film Museum and And Entertainment played a pivotal role as knowledge partners with TBL, a consulting firm for the competition. Different rounds of the competition were held in January and February.

The Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust has undertaken the Sanyam project to modernize the work of de-addiction using an effective medium like film. The Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust, which has a long tradition and credibility in the field of social services for the last 90 years, has brought many families on the path of prosperity to date.
