Pune: Tejwani, Amadea Representatives Absent Again; Court May Decide Fate of Rs 300-Crore Mundhwa Sale Deed Linked to Parth Pawar on July 6
Pune, 12th June 2026: The disputed sale deed linked to the alleged 40-acre Mundhwa land transaction involving land under the possession of the Botanical Survey of India (BSI) could face cancellation when the matter comes up for hearing before a Pune civil court on July 6, after key respondents remained absent during proceedings on Thursday.
During the latest hearing, neither power-of-attorney holder Sheetal Tejwani nor representatives of Amedia Enterprises, a company associated with Rajya Sabha MP Parth Pawar, appeared before the court. Taking note of their absence, the court directed the district administration to present its final arguments at the next hearing, strengthening the possibility of a ruling on the validity of the sale deed.
The case pertains to a controversial transaction in which around 40 acres of land in Mundhwa, currently under the possession of the Botanical Survey of India, was allegedly sold for nearly Rs 300 crore. The transaction was executed between Digvijaysinh Patil of Amedia Enterprises and Tejwani, acting as a power-of-attorney holder.
The district administration has contended that the land has belonged to the government since 1955 and remains under the control of the Botanical Survey of India. It has alleged that several legal provisions were bypassed during the registration of the sale deed, rendering the transaction unlawful.
Acting on behalf of the district collector, Sub-Divisional Officer Sunil Joshi had filed a petition before the civil court seeking a declaration that the transaction is illegal and requesting cancellation of the sale deed.
Officials said the administration has already submitted documentary evidence to establish government ownership of the land. During Thursday’s hearing, the district administration’s counsel reiterated its arguments before the court.
The absence of Tejwani and representatives of Amedia Enterprises was not the first instance during the proceedings. In view of the repeated non-appearance of the respondents, the court scheduled the next hearing for July 6 and directed the district administration to advance its arguments.
Meanwhile, Tejwani has reportedly withdrawn a separate claim asserting ownership rights over the land. Officials said the withdrawal could further strengthen the district administration’s case seeking cancellation of the disputed deed.
