Pune: Tempo Carrying 39 Calves With Intention To Slaughter Them, Rescued In Indapur taluka

Indapur, 10th April 2023: Indapur police caught a pick-up tempo consisting of 39 calves driven to slaughter them on Vadapuri Kati road in Indapur taluka. A case has been registered against one person in this regard.

According to the complaint given by Police Naik Salman Khan of Indapur Police Station, on Saturday (8th April) evening, while Khan was patrolling on Indapur Akluj Road, a white colour Mahindra Pickup Tempo owned by Samir Rafiq Bepari (25), a resident of Kasabgalli Indapur, taluka Indapur was found on Vadapuri-Kati road.

Reportedly, 39 jersey cow calves worth Rs 1,000 each, were mercilessly stuffed in the tank of the said tempo without providing water and fodder to slaughter them.

A case in this regard has been registered at the Indapur Police Station. Further investigation is being conducted under the guidance of police officer Dilip Pawar by police constable Mane.
