Pune: These Steps Will Be Taken To Stop Black-Marketing Of Remdesivir
Pune, 16 April 2021: The Pune district administration has decided to conduct the audit of the entire chain of Remdesivir injection right from manufacturing unit to storage to end user. This has created ripples among those involved in Remdesivir black-marketing chain.
The state government has given instructions to appoint flying squad to check the unnecessary use of Remdesivir injection in the hospitals. Six flying squads have been appointed for rural areas while 12 for urban areas.

The officers of the squad have been given training. The training included things to be taken into consideration, form filling, which documents to be checked among others.
This squad will keep a check on hospitals, stockist and distributors for the proper use and distribution of the injection. The manufacturers supply the injections to stockists from there it is given to the 17 distributors and from there it is made available in retail market.
Artificial shortage was created and thus the squads were appointed.
