Pune: Thieves Arrested For Stealing 63 Mobile Phones Of Passengers In PMPML Buses And Railway Station

Pune, 16th May 2022: Two persons have been arrested by the Crime Branch Unit 2 of the Pune police and recovered 63 stolen mobiles worth Rs 2.5 lakh.

 

The arrested persons are Kundan Ramesh Shinde (28), resident of Katraj and Ajit Ganesh Pawar (25), resident of the Pune station area.

Police constables Kadir Sheikh and Sameer Patel had got a tip-off about the accused who were standing at the bus stop near Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statue. Accordingly, a team led by Police Sub-Inspector Vishal Patil caught them and recovered 63 mobile phones.

 

The investigation team included Police Inspector Krantikumar Patil, PSI Vishal Mohite and Rajendra Patole, Pathan, Kadir Sheikh, Sameer Patel, Gajanan Sonune, Nikhil Jadhav, Kishor Vaggu, Sanjay Jadhav, Sadhana Tamhane and Nagnath Rakh.
