Pune: Thieves Steal Rs 22.5 Lakh Worth of Valuables From Bungalow In Bhosale Nagar
Bhosale Nagar, 27th November 2023: A daring burglary took place in Bhosale Nagar, Pune, as thieves targeted a residence, making off with a staggering loot of gold jewelry, cash, diamonds, and silver jewelry amounting to Rs 22 lakh 50 thousand.
The incident occurred between 10:30 on Saturday night and 12:00 on Sunday. A formal case has been registered at the Chaturshrungi police station.
The victim, a 52 year-old resident of Ashok Nagar, Bhosale Nagar, reported the incident to the police. The modus operandi involved the thieves gaining entry by exploiting the sliding window in the kitchen. Using an unidentified tool, the culprits accessed his residence, navigating their way to the second-floor bedroom.
Once inside, the burglars targeted the wardrobe and broke the lockers, making away with approximately 100 grams of gold jewelry, cash, and a collection of diamond and silver jewelry. The estimated value of the stolen items is Rs 22 lakh 50 thousand.
The Chatursrungi police are investigating the case, seeking clues and evidence to identify the perpetrators behind this audacious act. The authorities are urging residents in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
