Pune: Thieves Steal Rs 4.86 Lakh Worth of Jewelry From Bungalow, Investigation Underway

Navi Peth, 5th December 2024: Jewelry worth ₹4.86 lakh was stolen from a bungalow in the Navi Peth area on Tuesday (3rd December) night. Vishrambaug police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the theft.

Sameer Sudhakar Deshmukh (46), a resident of Anand Bungalow in Laxmikrupa Society, filed the complaint regarding the incident. According to the police, the Deshmukh family had gone to visit relatives in Baner on Tuesday night and returned the following morning to find their home ransacked.

The thieves broke the lock on the bungalow to gain entry into the bedroom, where they forced open a cupboard and stole the jewelry.

Senior Police Inspector Vijaymala Pawar and her team rushed to the scene upon receiving the report. The police are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to track down the culprits. Further investigation is underway.
