Pune: Thieves Stole Diamond And Gold Ornaments Along With Foreign Currency Worth Rs 66 Lakhs In Aundh

Aundh, 14th December 2022: An incident of burglary has come to light in the Aundh area. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was in the house, the burglars entered the house and stole goods worth Rs 66 lakh.

 

A 55-year-old man has lodged a complaint with the Chatushringi police station in this case, and the police have started an investigation.

 

The stolen property includes foreign currency worth Rs five lakh, as well as diamonds and gold jewellery.

 

According to the information given by the police, the complainant owns a packing company in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area. He has a bungalow in Sindh Housing Society in Aundh.

 

On Sunday (11th December), at around 1.30 pm, he went to have lunch with his family. Meanwhile, the burglars entered the house through the back door and stole Rs 66.42 lakh worth of foreign currency and diamond and gold ornaments.

 

When the complainant returned at 4.00 pm, he found the door open and the household items and cupboards in disarray. He immediately informed the police about the incident. Chaturshringi police are searching for the accused through the CCTV of this area.
