Pune: Thieves use distraction to steal laptop from car on Jungli Maharaj Road
Shivajinagar, 1st May 2023: Pune: Thieves stole a laptop from a car parked on Jungli Maharaj Road by using a common ploy. The victim, a motorist from Karvenagar, had stopped in front of a shop on the busy street when a thief approached the car and broke its window.
The thief then pretended that money had fallen on the ground, distracting the motorist, who got out of the car to help. Taking advantage of the situation, the thieves swiftly removed the victim’s bag containing the laptop and pen drive from the car.
A complaint has been filed with the Deccan police station and Assistant Police Inspector Kalyani Padole is investigating the matter.
