Pune: This Year’s IT Dindi To Have Over 1000 Young Professionals Participating In Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s Palkhi Ceremony
Pimpri Chinchwad, 24th May 2023: The much-awaited Palkhi ceremony of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj is set to commence its journey to Pandharpur on June 10 from Dehu.
This year, a significant change has been introduced to the traditional route, as the procession will pass through Pune to Saswad, ultimately reaching Pandharpur. Over 1000 highly educated young men and women are actively participating in this year’s ‘IT Dindi’.
The Palkhi ceremony holds immense significance for Varkaris (devotees) across the Maharashtra state, drawing them to Dehu for the grand occasion. Immersed in devotion, Varkaris transcend physical limitations as they carry the palanquin (Palkhi) on foot to Pandharpur for the revered Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage.
Eknath Khankar, a member of IT Dindi, fervently encourages educated youth to embrace this unique opportunity and become part of the vibrant Dindi procession.
