Pune: Three Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested From Bhosari For Illegal Stay, Case Registered

Bhosari 20th Sept 2023: The Anti-Terrorism squad members in a joint operation with Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested three Bangladeshi nationals from Moshi for illegally staying in India. The accused were arrested by the local police after an alert received from the ATS team.

The arrested accused have been identified as Sukantha Bagchi (21), Nayan Bagchi (22) and Samrat Bala (22), all residents of Madaripura district in Bangladesh. They were working at a construction site in Borhadewadi area of Moshi and were staying in a labour colony located near the construction site. The ATS team had received information about the foreign nationals staying illegally in the city on September 5 and the information was passed on to Pimpri Chinchwad Police.

The police after verifying the details nabbed the three accused on September 18 and it was found that they had entered India illegally and did not have any valid documents to stay here. They had crossed international borders illegally and were staying in India Pimpri Chinchwad for the last few days. A case under relevant sections has been registered at Bhosari MIDC police station following a complaint lodged by the ATS staff. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
