Pune: Three Booked After Man Assaulted Over Argument in Bavdhan, Laptop and Glasses Damaged
Bavdhan, 18th September 2026: Bavdhan Police under Pimpri-Chinchwad police have registered a case against three men for allegedly assaulting a 34-year-old man following an argument in Bavdhan on Friday morning. The complainant suffered a head injury, while his office laptop and spectacles were damaged during the incident.
According to police, the incident took place around 8:15 am on September 18 at a junction in front of Puranik Abitante Phase-2 in Bavdhan, Pune.
The 34-year-old complainant resides at Puranik Abitante Phase-2, Bavdhan.
Police have named the accused as Jaskaran Singh, Rishikesh Darwade and Parth Mahesh, all residents of Kothrud, Pune.
According to the complaint, an argument broke out between Lohar and the three accused. The accused allegedly assaulted him with kicks and punches. One of them allegedly hit him on the head with a metal bangle (kada), causing an injury.
Police said Lohar’s office laptop and spectacles fell to the ground during the assault and were damaged.
A case has been registered at Bavdhan Police Station under Sections 118(1), 115(2), 352 and 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), corresponding to provisions under the erstwhile Indian Penal Code relating to causing hurt, voluntarily causing hurt, intentional insult and mischief causing damage.
The accused persons have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
When asked about the action being taken against the accused, DCP Pradeep Jadhav told Punekar News, “Below 7-year offence, hence notice under BNSS 35(3) will be issued.”
Police are conducting further investigation to establish the exact circumstances that led to the altercation.
