Pune: Three Held For Culpable Homicide In IT Professional’s Death After Fall From Balcony In Moshi
Pimpri Chinchwad 3rd July 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have arrested three people for culpable homicide in a case related to a death of a 30-year-old IT professional reported in May this year. The police during an investigation revealed that the incident appears to have occurred while the deceased was attempting to cross over to the balcony of his neighboring flat, after an altercation with three individuals he had been partying with.
Mithilesh Langote, an IT profession who tragically fell from the fifth floor of a building in Moshi died in May this year. The police had initially registered an accidental death case in the matter.
However, as the events unfolded, it came to light that on the day of the incident, an argument over a minor issue escalated between Langote and the three individuals during their drinking session. The situation turned violent, and they allegedly cornered Langote, blocking the door when he tried to leave. In an attempt to escape, Langote sought to cross over to the neighboring flat’s balcony, a move he had done before when he had misplaced his keys. Tragically, during this attempt, he fell to his death.
Police have now booked three individuals identified as Sagar Gadhave (29), Suhas Gadhave (23) and Mangesh Walunj (23) in the matter and a case under section 304 (2) has been registered at Bhosari MIDC police station in the matter. Police are investigating further in the case.
