Under the banner of JD Motion Pictures, ‘Ginti’ (The Countdown) delves deep into the mind of a schizophrenic contract killer who takes refuge in the wilderness. Tormented by haunting memories of the past and his victims, the protagonist must confront his inner demons. Director M Durga Prasad has skillfully crafted a gripping narrative that has garnered high praise.

Joydeep Goswami, fondly known as JD, commenced his career as a singer-composer with the album ‘Daastan.’ He rose to prominence following the release of his music video ‘Jee Bhar Gaya,’ which received global airplay on MTV Indies. Subsequently, he signed with T-Series and achieved great success with the release of his immensely popular single ‘Sun Le bekhabar,’ which served as a pivotal moment in his career. This success inspired him to establish his own production house, JD Motion Pictures. During the lockdown period, Goswami serendipitously crossed paths with M Durga Prasad, and together, they conceived the idea for ‘Ginti’ (The Countdown), ultimately bringing it to fruition.

Goswami not only provided financial support but also played an integral role in the artistic aspects of the production, overseeing various facets with the assistance of an exceptionally talented creative team. ‘Ginti’ promises to be a visual feast, with breathtaking imagery that captures the charm and vibrancy of Jamshedpur, a city that retains its allure despite rapid urbanization.

The film boasts a predominantly local cast and crew, adding authenticity and depth to the project. Satyakam Anand, renowned for his roles in Hindi films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Sherni,’ leads the cast, supported by Vishal Singh, Laique Khan, Shuru Sardar, Adil Izaz, and others. The crew has fearlessly pushed their artistic boundaries, with Akhalque Manzar serving as the cinematographer, Bapi Murmu as the editor, Ashish as the music director, Naash94 as the composer, and Hari Pada Mukhi as the art director.
