Pune: Three Migrant Youths Beaten at Raireshwar Fort Over Alcohol Consumption; Video Goes Viral
Bhor, 24th October 2025: A video showing three migrant youths being beaten by a group at Raireshwar Fort has gone viral, sparking debates on social media about discipline and public behavior at popular trekking spots.
Raireshwar Fort is a historic hill fort located in the Bhor taluka of Pune district, Maharashtra. It is most famously associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, as it is the site where Shivaji is believed to have taken the swarajya (self-rule) pledge) at a young age, making it an important symbol of Maratha heritage.
According to reports, the incident occurred when a group visiting Raireshwar Fort for trekking spotted three young men sitting by the roadside, consuming alcohol. Upon questioning, it was revealed that the youths were migrants. Video shows the group then allegedly broke the liquor bottles, physically assaulted the men, and forcibly removed them from the fort area.
The identities of both the alleged assailants and the migrant youths have not yet been confirmed. The incident has ignited discussions online, with many expressing outrage over alcohol consumption in historically significant and public spaces.
