Pune, May 31, 2020: The railway administration has decided to run 100 pairs of special trains across the country from June 1. Under this, a special train will also be run from Pune railway station to Danapur near Patna in Bihar. From Pune station, this train will depart from platform number 1 at 8.55 pm.

For this, the passengers have to enter the station from the main gate. They have to reach the station 90 minutes before the departure of the train so that necessary medical screening etc can be completed on time. To maintain a smooth arrangement at the Pune station, passengers arriving from outside trains have to leave the station from Tadiwala roadside. Keeping in mind the social distancing and other norms Covid-19 prevention, the parking system on both sides of the station has been temporarily closed.

To ensure compliance of social distancing at the station and to avoid unnecessary crowd gathering, the sale of platform tickets has been temporarily stopped. “Only passengers with confirmed and RAC tickets will be allowed to enter the platform at the station. Travel will not be allowed on waiting tickets. Travelling will be allowed only after the thermal screening, without infection”, stated a press release from the railways.

The railway has requested the passengers to avoid travelling if they have symptoms like fever, cough, cold and breathing problem. Considering Covid-19, linen in the air-conditioned category is not being supplied by the Railways. Therefore, passengers have been requested to bring their bedsheet, blankets for the journey. Keeping in mind the current circumstances, travellers have been advised to avoid travelling if elderly, pregnant women, children below 10 years are also with them.

Arrangements have been made to provide water bottles, packed food and drink on payment basis in stations and trains. However, given the present circumstances, passengers are requested to bring their food and water.
