Viman Nagar, 17th November 2023: A shocking incident took place on November 5th when a woman, who had gone to fetch animal feed, was abducted from Sanjay Park on Airport Road. The assailants injected her, rendering her unconscious, and attempted to transport her to Godhra, Gujarat, with the intention of selling her. Miraculously, the woman managed to free herself, escape, and sought refuge in Pune with the assistance of the police.

The victim, a resident of Maharashtra Housing Board in Yerwada, filed a complaint at the Vimantal Police station.

According to the police, the woman was returning from Tingre Nagar with animal fodder around 2:30 pm when a rickshaw aggressively intercepted her two-wheeler near Sanjay Park on Airport Road. Their two accomplices also reached there in a car. The assailants, including a woman identified as Kamala, forcibly abducted her after pushing her bike to the side. They injected her with an unknown substance and confined her in a room for a day.

A woman named Kamalabai, present at the location, hinted at the victim’s potential involvement in a ‘trade’, instructing the assailants to take her under their care. Subsequently, they tied her hands and feet and placed her in another black-colored car.

During the journey, the woman, in a desperate attempt to escape, informed the assailants that she needed to go to toilet. Taking advantage of a momentary lapse, the accused released her bound legs. Seizing the opportunity, the victim fled into a nearby forest, evading the searching assailants.
