Pune to Nagpur Vande Bharat Express to Start August 10; PM Modi to Flag Off Inaugural Run

Pune, 6th August 2025: The Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express, a fully air-conditioned chair car train, is set to begin regular operations from August 10, 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the inaugural run of the high-speed service from Ajni Railway Station in Nagpur.

12-Hour Journey Between Pune and Nagpur

The train will cover the Pune-Nagpur route in approximately 12 hours, offering seating-only arrangements and no sleeper coaches. It will run six days a week excluding Mondays from Ajni and Tuesdays from Pune.

Approved Timetable and Train Numbers

• Train No. 26102 – Ajni (Nagpur) to Pune
Departure: 09:50 hrs
Arrival: 21:50 hrs

• Train No. 26101 – Pune to Ajni (Nagpur)
Departure: 06:25 hrs
Arrival: 18:25 hrs
Route and Halts

The Vande Bharat Express will halt at the following stations en route:

Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar, and Daund Chord Line.

Maintenance and Rake Information

The train will operate with two dedicated rakes, with primary maintenance scheduled at Nagpur. Preparations for the inaugural run are underway, following which regular service will begin on the finalized schedule.

This addition marks another Vande Bharat service originating from Pune, currently served by Vande Bharat trains to Solapur, Kolhapur, and Hubli.
