Pune: Tourists Crowd Bhimashankar Amid Heavy Rains, Authorities Issue Guidelines

Phulwade, 9th July 2022: The western part of Ambegaon taluka in Pune district is surrounded by Sahyadri mountains and its natural beauty. Due to the continuous rains, the area seems to be covered with greenery and small and big waterfalls in the area have started flowing with water.

Therefore, the crowd of tourists has started to increase to enjoy the rainy season in the Bhimashankar area.

Vasant Chavan, Forest Range Officer, Bhimashankar Forest Sanctuary and Assistant Police Inspector Jeevan Mane of Ghodegaon Police Station informed that “Tourists should avoid visiting places like waterfalls, streams, rivers, streams, dams or other water bodies without life safety measures. People should avoid visiting tourist spots after sunset. Follow the instructions given by the administration in case of road erosion or landscapes. Do not walk alone as there is a risk of getting lost in the dense forest.”
