Pune, 19th October 2022: Pune Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil has announced that penalties will not be imposed on the people of Pune for the next 10 days. As a result, the people of Pune will be exempt from the fine for the next 10 days.

For the past few days, there has been a massive crowd on city streets due to Diwali shopping. Vehicle lines can be seen in the central area. As a result, many Pune residents defy traffic laws to get around. Even the police are powerless to control the crowd and take action. As a result, Patil has stated that no penalty will be imposed for 10 days.

In comparison to previous years, Pune has received a lot of rain this year. Many roads were damaged as a result of this. Poor road conditions cause traffic jams in all areas of Pune. Accidents occur when the vehicle’s speed slows due to potholes. As a result, the initial plan is to repair the city’s roads. Chandrakant Patil has announced that the plan to repair 400 kilometres of city roads has been approved. He made this decision at the district planning committee’s first meeting after joining the government. As a result, there is a chance that roads will be improved and traffic congestion will be reduced in the coming years.

This government had sanctioned 1 thousand 58 crores for the previous government’s works. While the moratorium was being lifted, it was decided to verify it without lifting it. As a result, each constituency’s representatives have been asked to decide which works should be prioritised in their constituency. Following that, a new development plan will be developed through meetings with officials from each department over the next few days. The new development strategy will go into effect on 1st November. District Planning Committees will be formed for the first time; a discussion was held in this regard during the meeting.
