Pune Traffic Police Launches link to share ‘Flooding Update’

Pune, September 26, 2019 : The traffic movement is most affected due to rains and floods. In order to help people get all the updates, Pune city police traffic branch has shared a link on which one can get ‘flooding updates’.

“Dear All, pls click on ‘Flooding Update’ button on http://PuneTrafWatch.com to see the critical water logging, Road Pits & Mires points due to flooding. Plan your commute accordingly”, said DCP (traffic) Pankaj Deshmukh.

Police officials said that there’s lot of mud on several stretches of Sinhgad road especially between Hingne and Santosh Hall.There are other roads in the city as well which have become risky due to mud.Two wheeler riders to be careful while driving.

“Please avoid such road.Likely to cause skidding resulting into accidents”, added DCP Deshmukh.

Pune TrafWatch, conceptualized by ground data analytics startup ChangeBhai and Pune Traffic Police, is a a one-of-its-kind pilot of a larger CityWatch project with:

– Machine Learning Processed Data

It is envisaged to be the largest and most robust collaborative data-based citizen engagement tool globally.
