Pune Traffic Police Re-Start Collection Of Fines On Roads
Pune, 12th January 2023: Just a little more than six months after the practice was banned, the Pune traffic police on Tuesday started enforcing on-the-spot fines against traffic rule violators. Retesh Kumarr, the new police commissioner, gave the go ahead on Monday night.
Amitabh Gupta, his predecessor, put the drive on hold in June of last year after receiving complaints about the haughtiness of some traffic cops.
