Pune: Traffic Policeman Injured After Being Dragged On Car Bonnet, Driver Arrested
Khadki, 25th March 2023: A traffic police officer was injured in a hit-and-run incident involving a speeding motorist in the Khadki railway subway area. The incident occurred when Traffic Police Officer Ganesh Shivaji Rabade and his colleague Vijay Adhari were regulating traffic in the area due to ongoing metro work.
The motorist, identified as Suraj Bharat Jadhav, was speeding away and refused to stop when signaled by the police officers. Instead, Jadhav hit both officers with his car and took Rabade on the bonnet of the vehicle for some distance before citizens intervened and stopped him. Rabade fell off the car’s bonnet, injuring both of his legs.
Jadhav has been arrested by the Khadki police under sections of obstructing government work and causing injury. The injured police officer has filed a complaint, and the police are investigating the incident further.
