Pune: Traffic Restrictions Announced for Shivjayanti Celebrations at Shivneri Fort in Junnar

Junnar, 4th February 2025: Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has issued orders for one-way traffic on certain routes in and around Junnar city during the Shivjayanti festival celebrations at Shivneri Fort. The restrictions will be in effect from 8 AM on 18th February to midnight on 20th February, to maintain law and order during the celebrations.
Key traffic changes include:
1. Vehicles coming from Narayangaon to Junnar will be directed through the Ghodegaon Phata-Khanapur College route via Dhamankhel to the Tathed parking lot near Shivneri Fort.
2. Returning vehicles from the Tathed parking lot will use the Vadaj-Savargaon-Warulwadi-Narayangaon-Ghodegaon route.
3. Traffic from Ganesh Khind (Junnar Taluka)-Banak Phata-Otur will park at Krishna Rao Mundhe High School and nearby parking areas, returning via Kalyan-Ahilyanagar and Nashik Road.
4. Vehicles from Aptale-Somatwadi in Junnar Taluka will approach the Tathed parking lot through the Pradakshina route past Hotel Shivba and return via Vadaj.
These measures aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and enhance safety for the large number of visitors expected during the Shivjayanti festival at the historic Shivneri Fort.
