Pune: Train Services Affected Due to Railway Track Doubling Work Between Neera and Lonand
Pune, 18th August 2023 – The ongoing railway track doubling work between Neera and Lonand on the Pune-Satara rail route will lead to the rescheduling of certain train services. In light of this, Train No. 11425 Pune-Kolhapur DEMU Express, scheduled to depart from Pune on Sunday, August 20, will now commence its journey from Satara to Kolhapur. Conversely, Train No. 11426 Kolhapur-Pune DEMU Express, originally destined for Pune, will terminate its journey at Satara. This means that this train service will remain canceled between Pune and Satara.
Furthermore, Train No. 22686 Chandigarh-Yeshvantpur Express, which was originally slated to depart from Chandigarh on Saturday, August 19, will now follow an altered route via Daund-Kurduvadi-Miraj. Consequently, this train will not reach Pune.
Additionally, Train No. 16506 Bengaluru-Gandhidham Express, scheduled to depart from Bengaluru on Saturday, August 19, will experience some delays between Miraj and Lonand due to ongoing maintenance work on the track.
Passengers are advised to take note of these changes and plan their travel accordingly. The railway authorities are working to ensure the timely completion of the track doubling project, which is aimed at enhancing connectivity and improving rail services between Neera and Lonand.
