Pune: TREK TO HISTORIC UMBERKHIND WAR MEMORIAL – INS SHIVAJI

Lonavla, 21st November 2022: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage, a Trekking Expedition was organised to Historic Umberkhind War Memorial in Sahyadri Ranges near Lonavala, where the legendary maratha warrior Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj alongwith his small Guerrilla force had defeated the 30000 strong army led by ‘Mughal General Kartalab Khan’ in Feb 1661.

All Service personnel and families including International Trainee Officers and Sailors participated in the trek.
