Pune: Trio Nabbed for Shooting Notorious Criminal Deepak Mane in Sangvi

Sangvi, 1st June 2024: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have arrested three suspects for a murder that took place a couple of days ago. The suspects allegedly shot the victim three times in the face due to animosity. This incident occurred very close to a police station, and the victim was a notorious history-sheeter with several cases registered against him, including attempted murder. The murder took place at Maheshwari Chowk in Sangvi on 29th May, around 10 PM, approximately 500 meters from the Sangvi Police Station.

The deceased has been identified as Deepak Dattatraya Mane, aged 35, a resident of Sangvi. The Sangvi Police have arrested Sujal Rajendra Gill (aged 19), Saurabh Gokul Ghute (aged 22), and Aman Rajendra Gill (aged 18), all residents of Sangvi, in connection with the case. A case has been registered under IPC sections 302 (Punishment for Murder), 34 (Acts Done by Several Persons in Furtherance of Common Intention), and relevant sections of the Arms Act of 1959 and the Maharashtra Police Act of 1951.

According to police reports, the notorious criminal Kadam was shot in the face three times by unknown assailants while he was returning home from a Paan Shop. He was taken to Aundh District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. It was suspected that a gang war was the motive behind the murder. The incident occurred very close to the Sangvi Police Station. Based on information from confidential sources, Aman Gill was arrested, and during interrogation, his involvement in the crime was confirmed. Due to Aman Gill’s detailed interrogation, Sujal Gill and Saurabh Ghute were arrested in the Aundh area. After further interrogation, all three confessed that about 20 days ago, the deceased Kadam had threatened the Gill brothers, which led to the murder out of anger.

Aman Gill has been remanded in police custody until June 4th by the court, while Sujal Gill and Saurabh Ghute will be presented in court tomorrow. The Sangvi Police are continuing their investigation to determine if anyone else was involved in the case.
