Pune: Two Arrested for Fraudulent Use of Company Identity in Alandi

Alandi, 11th February 2024: Two individuals have been apprehended for perpetrating fraud by utilising a company’s identity, including its name, logo, and GST number, to fabricate fake bills. The incident unfolded on February 9, 2024, at Hari Om Electronics, located in Alandi.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Avishkar Sandeep Nikam (18 years old, residing in Mulshi) and Sandeep Akharam Nikam (40 years old, residing in Mulshi). The complaint regarding this fraudulent activity was lodged by Rohit Khushalrao Puri, who resides in Akurdi, at the Alandi Police Station.

According to police investigations, the accused allegedly falsified the company’s identity, including its name, logo, and GST number, to fabricate bills for the sale of laptops. This deceitful practice led to financial losses for both the company and its unsuspecting customers, as stated by the complainant. The Alandi police are currently conducting further inquiries into the matter.
