Pune: Two Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Woman And Cheating Her Of Rs 66 Lakhs
Pune, 30th September 2022: A case of sexual abuse of a woman and fraud of Ts 66 lakh in the case of land purchase has come to light within the limits of Dehu Road police station. Police have registered an FIR against three persons and arrested two of them. This incident has taken place between July 10, 2021, and January 6, 2022.
A case has been registered against Pradeep Fakkad Koli (30), a resident of Talegaon Dabhade, Ankush Sonawane, Deva Vilas Sonawane (32), a resident of Pavananagar, Maval at Dehu Road Police Station. A case has been registered under IPC sections 376, 406, 420, and 120B. The 33-year-old victim filed a complaint on Thursday (September 29) in this regard.
Police have arrested Pradip Koli and Deva Sonawane in the case.
According to the information given by the police, accused Ankush Sonawane and Pradeep Koli told the victim that the land in Pavananagar is good and she should break her FD to invest in the property. Also, Pradeep Koli threatened the victim stating that if she told anyone about this then he will make her and her daughter disappear one day.
The aggrieved woman broke the FD and invested in the land. When the 7/12 arrived in the last week of January, the complainant realised that the land showed and the land on the 7/12 was different.
When asked Ankush Sonawane about the matter, he said that he did not know and said that Pradip Koli was handling all this. After this, Pradeep Koli came to the woman’s house and asked the victim woman for marriage and threatened to make the complainant’s house in his name and forcibly established a physical relationship with her.
The accused cheated the woman by taking Rs 66 lakh from her on the pretext of a land transaction. The woman was psychologically traumatized due to physical abuse and financial fraud. After recovering from this, she filed a complaint on Thursday (September 29).
The police registered a case against the accused and arrested both of them. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Gawde.
