Pune: Two College Students Robbed By Autorickshaw Driver And His Accomplice

Pune, 7th March 2022: A rickshaw driver threatened college students and looted mobile sets and cash. The incident took place in Mangalwar Peth.

 

An 18-year-old student from Model Colony in Shivajinagar has lodged a complaint at Faraskhana Palis Police Station.

 

According to police, the complainant hails from Shegaon in Buldhana district and studies in class 12th here. His father had sent gifts through a travels bus at Sangamwadi.

 

The complainant along with his friend had hired an autorickshaw in the early morning. The autorickshaw driver’s accomplice was also with them in the rickshaw.

 

The driver stopped the rickshaw in the dark area under the railway bridge at Mangalwar Peth. The rickshaw driver and his accomplices threatened the two youths with a knife. They robbed them of two mobile sets along with Rs one thousand cash. The rickshaw driver threatened them and asked them to send Rs two thousand through a financial transaction app. After that, the rickshaw driver along with his companions ran away.

 

Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shetty is investigating the case further.
